Zermatt Music Festival & Academy

The Zermatt Music Festival & Academy is a popular event that music enthusiasts worldwide look forward to as the summer season comes to an end. For over 15 years, young Academy musicians and their instructors from the Berliner Philharmonic have come together to work, learn, and perform classical music, jazz, and films in various locations throughout Zermatt, such as the St. Mauritius Pfarrkirche, Kapelle Riffelalp, English Church, Backstage Hotel Vernissage, Matterhorn Museum, local hotels, school, and retirement home.

The Festival collaborates with other cultural actors in the Valais such as the Pierre Gianadda Foundation in Martigny. Some of the renowned performers who have graced the Festival include Renaud Capuçon, Ton Koopman, and Christian Zacharias. Visitors can enjoy not just the music but also the awe-inspiring natural beauty that Zermatt has to offer.
