World Raclette Championships

The World Raclette Championships is set to take place from October 24-26, 2025, gathering local and foreign producers of the iconic Valais specialty. Hosted by La Cavagne local producers' cooperative in the Illiez Valley, the competition will feature raclette cheeses from local, regional, and international producers. The first edition aims to invite 5 different countries to bring raclette lovers and producers together for a festive and friendly atmosphere in the heart of the Portes du Soleil.

The competition will have the serious task of crowning the best cheeses in each category, including raw milk raclettes, raw mountain milk raclettes, pasteurised milk raclettes, and specialty raclettes. A jury of 40 people, including 5 raclette professionals, 5 restaurateurs, and 30 consumers who have signed up in advance, will score the competing cheeses.

The event will also feature a pop-up Raclette Village in the Salle de la Jeur in Morgins, with around twenty alpine stands.
