Folklore Festival

The biggest cultural summer event in Zermatt, which began in 1969, has grown significantly over the years. Numerous associations from all over Switzerland participate in the event to showcase their traditions through music, traditional costumes, dances, and colorful attire from bygone eras. The highlight of the festival is a grand parade that winds through Zermatt. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of food and drinks, performances by the clubs, and exciting entertainment programs for children. The profits generated from the festival are donated to the Zermatt Youth Fund, which funds various youth projects in the region.

The traditional parade takes place on Sunday at 13:30.
