World Band Festival Lucern

The World Band Festival Lucerne is an annual event that showcases wind music and takes place at the end of September in the KKL Lucerne. The festival was first introduced in 1999 and since then, it has become one of the highest-level events for wind music, alongside classical music, jazz, and pop.

For eight days, the festival welcomes some of the world's best orchestras, ensembles, conductors, and soloists to perform at the Culture and Congress Center Lucerne. The festival has been able to increase its audience numbers to around 18,000-20,000 and has gained the reputation of being "Europe's largest and most important festival for wind music." This status is not only attributed to the number of visitors but also to the artistic excellence and diversity of the participating nations.
