Maibär - Lebendiger Brauch in Bad Ragaz
On the first Sunday in May, Bad Ragaz hosts a traditional procession to drive out winter. The procession includes the "Maibär," a cone-shaped frame decorated with beech leaves, flowers, and ribbons, as well as beggars and plunderers who accompany the bear as he dances through the town's alleys. The procession ends with the Maibär being handed over to the rushing Tamina mountain stream from the upper Tamina bridge.
Opening hours: Sun 13:00
The event is free of charge.
